Sushi prep board from my stream last night.This one was a lot of fun to make. Everything was sculpted by me aside from the round plates and small bowl. The bowl with the rice was made with a plastic container that was cut down, and the knife was sculpted from clay and painted with silver metallic paint.

The only thing that breaks the illusion of looking real for me is the knife.
It needs some reflective nature to it to imitate stainless steel.
Everything else looks great.

try using 1 part white and 2 parts transluscent mixed together for the rice next time. it kinda looks like cottage cheese. other wise good job. im not trying to be mean, im just trying to critique your work so you can improve =3=

It's just the picture, I think, that makes it look like that. For some reason the white over exposed big time. In real life it's got a more crumbly, rice-like texture.

here's a question, are the nori sheets pliable enough that these could be rolled into handrolls? If so, would the clay need to bake longer (like 5-10 minutes)?
I think I like the rice on this prep board the most. Very fluffy and realistic.

Nope! Everything is completely baked and rather hard now. Trying to bend it would probably result in it cracking.
The rice was made by mixing half white and half translucent clay, and the texture was done just like the crumble topping in this tutorial: [link]
