So here we have a nice companion piece to my anime pumpkin of 2005. It's the Count! From Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, a brilliant anime.I'm rather pleased with how this turned out. Once again, same procedure as the Folken pumpkin, I drew a black and white image of the character, taped the print-out to a pumpkin, and carved out the black bits. I wanted to try and capture some of the texture element of the series, so I left his hair only half-carved (a pretty taxing process, I might add). Other than that, I think it's pretty straightforward.

Hee thanks for the comment. I told you this one was better, eh? He just kind of melted in the sun so I'm glad I pic'd it when I did. I don't even wanna know what he looks like now-- probably just a giant hole by this point.
Haha yeah it wasn't stamina... see the whole point was to find a design that would most stress out my wrists! That night too I had to do a lot of drawing afterwards and I was like "TT___TT why am I so dumb??" Oh well. Hopefully I'll win the contest!! D D
