Wow that is beautiful. Is it comfortable? I made something similar that is a seven horned dragon head but hit is scratch and makes it hard to see in front of you XP.

this is amazing. how did you get the "fur" on the cheeks to curl up like that? and shredded cardboard- can you explain that more? i can't see it making that texture on the face/ears. did you create a base that you modeled this over, or did you just wing it? sorry about all the questions, this really fascinates me and i haven't had much luck with this sort of thing before!

the cheek and neck trim is just thin cardboard (cereal/snack boxs)so it curled on its own while being used.
the shredded card board is just boxes for food that i soaked in a tub of water for a minute, then tore into 1x1 inch or so pieces.i then tossed them into a food processor and ground them up to a coarse mush.
be sure to remove the glue holding the box together first.some of it doesnt melt when wet and forms nasty sharp shards.
after i ground it up,i tossed several handfulls in a large mixing bowl, then poured in some white glue and mixed it to a clay like consistency.
i did make a simple base with some more cardboard and applied the mush to that a little at a time (it needs to be able to dry so its gotta be layered).i sanded it down a little once it dried then painted it with acrylics.it get a weird texture cause of how the paper gets shredded i think.forms little rolled up bits.
its also fairly hard when dry.

be careful when you make the mush,as any you dont use (mix with glue and form into something)will get a nasty smell after a day or two.i think it rots cause its basicly damp paper...
