its not THAT harsh if you see. you wont be bothered anymore or disagree with saudi arabian issue when you know about some serious issues with women like female child abuse and killing the girl child before being born. such are the shameful stains on the face of humanity. keeping the women covered isn't a big deal i guess.

It keeps her suppressed, makes her a non-entity to keep her covered up like that. It's because they are considered non-entities that cause them to be mistreated so badly. Every country has mistreated women and it's only when women stand up for themselves and refuse to take it anymore and start proving their worth as humans do violence against them decrease. Sure women here in the U.S. are sometimes raped or abused but it's nowhere near as bad as countries where women are still treated as property.

those who treat women like property are disgusting. and in SA women cant drive .what the hell is it for? this is totally ridiculous. there they are bound by the rules.
same goes with hejab and burka issue.
in the west there is no compulsion of wearing a burka or even no compulsion of wearing a headscarf and end up being called ninja yet many many women prefer to wear it. sorry i dont know whats the situation in your whereabouts ? i mean can a woman or any religion go to court in case someone from their family press them to wear hijab or a burka etc?

In the U.S., there is a pretty big emphasis on separation of church and state. Stuff like whether to wear a headscarf are considered civil matters. I'm not sure if the courts would take a case about such a thing although the Constitution states that everyone has freedom of religion which means women cannot be legally forced to wear any kind of religious items or follow any belief system they do not wish to. I have Muslim neighbors and the wife does not wear a headscarf and they seem to get along just fine.

yeah this is what i was asking there is freedom of religion and hence freedom of wear anything at all. religion cant be shoved into someone's throat like a medicine. it just defies the core principles of any religion whatsoever. it is shocking how people just try and keep on manipulating people over the name of religion and race and etc... same goes for the girls who feel comfortable wearing hejab and same goes for ladies who do not feel a need or a reason to wear one. none of them should be bullied or discriminated for this reason.
