I generally like the villains in comics as they are way more fun and interesting than the heroes.

To me it wasn't that the switch was rushed as it was supposed to be a shocker and the writer was looking to bring the FF back to the original core members. You know, playing to the original Archie fans

What was truly horrible about it wasn't that much about Fiona going to the dark side, it's the kind of villain she was turned into. She doesn't do anything really damaging to the FF beyond Tails. I was expecting her to lead the invasion of the FF HQ when Suppression Squad attacked them. And her lines were pretty typical dumb henchgirl type phrases, like she says to Sally "you aren't as fast as your boy-toy are you?" Which is the same as saying "your not as fast as Sonic, yuck-yuck" but in a cliche girl way. It's missing the zing or sharp-edge...(sigh)  

I guess I felt very let down by it and it's actually sad to watch a character suffer so badly when it could have been better.  

And then there is the Tails "anti-ship" stuff, I guess if you just want fans to hate HATE Fiona and enjoy schadenfreude. It's just seemed like such a waste of potential good villainy with her becoming an inept two-faced ugly thug girl
