I think you're right: There was definitely a sense of uncertainty with this model...my brother and I had no idea what she wanted from the shoot, and we still don't...we gave her a disc of the images and haven't heard from her since...but i really love these two images and am pleased at the response. Great? Me? No...not yet, but I hope to keep getting better...and getting more toycameras?

i love the edge to this one.. almost scary how it mimics rape, or snuff porn. She captures innocence perfectly, the image screams victum, at least to me. but i love that, so few photographers can capture sincere vulnerability.

You know, I didn't realize just how intense and emotional these shots were when i took them or even when i got the prints back...but everyone who has seen them has found them to be raw and even frightening. Is there something in me that I don't know about? Should I be afraid of it? Afraid to let it find it's way into my images? I'm really not sure what to think...perhaps further thought and exploration is needed...wish me luck?

In my opinion, you already are...your images [and words] speak so eloquently of love and desire and experience...even if we didn't speak so often, i think i would still know much about you...and one cannot ask more from any artist than for them to tell their story.

the best of luck, you should never be afraid, if its a part of you it has a beautiful side, and certainly worth exploring. dwell into the subjects we are all to scared to find in ourselves, the strength it takes to do what you do is so powerful, i feel it and hope to be there someday.

I love the way they feel as if they were taken from a security camera. Of a situation that the person watching is unable help in.

the lab we send our film to usually prints out toycamera stuff full image, but for some reason the Isolly-Mat's 4 x 4 cm negatives must have confounded them...but i really like the way these look, so i used them the way they came...i'm thinking of asking them to always print them this way...
to me they look a bit like old-style Polaroid prints...don't you think?

Well the shyness is quite real here! Sarah was a first time model who'd never done anythng much less a fetish/erotic shoot before...I tried to be as gentle as possible, but I think she was still a little nevous about it all...but she wound up feeling very good about the results...

Beautiful! I love the black lines in this shot...they really draw your eye to the subject. Additionally, the softness of the model and her pose really work well to add a sense of helplessness in the midst of those dark, strong lines. Great work!

its very odd how the black lines happened...usually the lab i take my film to prints them full out, but i suppose they had someone new on the line and they tried to print the 4 x 4 cm images down a bit...the result was the black borders...i liked them so much i just scanned them into the computer and made them part of the image...i wonder if i can get them to print them this way all the time!

my goodness! brilliant? me? not hardly! i'm just a girl stumbling out of her closet and trying to understand her desires and her emotions by usuing a camera. and i would be happy to have an open marriage with one so sweet...you could have a boi live in and i could have a girl...but i would still love to hold you and kiss once in a while -- would that be too yucky?
