This image reminds me of a semi-obscure name I gave my female Trubbish/Garbodor. Marjory, after the trash heap from Fraggle Rock. I don't use them, I'm not a fan of the design Game Freak has given them, but the sentient compost heap from my childhood was a good fit.

I really didn't think too much about Trubbish or Garbodor until I read Bogleech's earnest defense of the so-called trash PokΓ©mon. And I've come to really dig the trifecta that Trubbish and Garbodor (solid pollutants) fill in with Koffing and Weezing (air pollutants) and Grimer and Muk (liquid pollutants).

Vanilluxe is cute, and Garbodor is slightly more detailed and creative than Muk.

Trubbish is my favorite pokemon. I have a love for the derpy pokemon, and I love the episode of Pokemon starring Trubbish where a kindergarten class adopts a lonely trubbish. Ive had this image as one of the two pictures I rotate for Pokemon Profile Picture Month on facebook. Its so simply poetic and I love it.
You can't know how much this means to me, but thank you for several years worth of good feelings.

Although at first my reaction was the same as most other people's... gradually, I've been warming up to them.
These two are slowly climbing the list of my favorite Poison-types every time I see them, and I think they really do deserve some proper love.
Besides, they're great for setting up Toxic Spikes!

I started a game of Alpha Saphire a few weeks ago, and imported a team of EV-trained, level one Pokemon to be my partners in the game. They were with me from the moment I got my Pokedex, to the end of the Delta Episode. Here they are in their final evolutions~

Froslass
Bisharp
Florges
Garbodor
All finished around level 73-80, Bisharp being the 80. And all got fancy ribbons for beating the Hoenn champion. Yes, even Garbodor, who helped me throughout the game. Her name was Homika (after the BW2 second gym leader) and her move pool was a mixed stall/attack build that used Toxic, Infestation, Gunkshot, and Smackdown.

Sure, they look odd, but they actually form the last part of a trio with Koffing/Weezing and Grimer/Muk - Koffing is air pollution, Grimer is water pollution and Trubbish is land pollution. Plus, they're reasonably versatile, and let's face it, it'd be terrifying for your opponent to be beaten up by garbage. I'm sure there are people who do like them - after all, imagine if Gen 1's designs were Gen 5, and vice versa!

I like Trubbish and Garbodor. The first one for being cute and the latter for looking awesome. People! It's a second Grimer and Muk. Also it reminds me this one time when I emptied the trash bucket (yeah I use a bucket) in my room. I think something ACTUALLY came to life inside!

I honestly cant figure out why so many people hate garbodor and trubish. trubbish is adorably and garbodor is a bad ass. plus he completes muk and weezeg as the missing form of pollution (muk=water pollution, weezing=air pollution, garbodor=land poltion) regardless of what trolls say, trubbish and garbodor are some of my favorite pokemon fr gen five and also some of my fav poison types

yeah! the pollution trio! btw what makes them even more similair to each other is that all three are poison type/evolve at levels ranging from 30-40/have a single pre-evo/have the same base stat total
