I saw no stamps against 'God's not dead' movie, so I decided to make one.During my Ethics lessons, due to fact we have finished our coursebooks and the second part of this movie was released, we are watching this movie and commenting on it (yep, we are all Atheists).
Now, now - I don't have a thing against sane Christians, who don't scream 'GOD FORBID HOMOSEXUALITY!!!@!!!!1!!one!!eleven!!!' and then eat some of their shrimp. I'm cool with them, I have some Christian friends, they are really nice!
But, about this movie... We have a mass of Atheists - they are all vegetarians, will fight every kind of faith and creationism, and few good ones, aka Christians! The morally correct, a light in the pile of dark mass! These stupid Atheists don't know the noble truth!!!!...
...crap.
We have antagonizing of Atheists (fuck, philosophy works another way! No Philosophy teacher would give students paper and say 'write god is dead' on them!).
Aaand the protagonist is too lazy to search and find out that philosophy means that existence of gods will be denied, but manages to spend 99% of his time to do the research on proof that Christianity is real? Brilliant!

The moral of that story is basically: Only Christians are allowed to go to heaven. Atheists and Muslims are bad and they should feel bad.
As a Christian myself, this felt rather insulting. A good person can come from anyone regardless of their faith.

It's nice how they spread atheophobic propaganda, and act like Christians in the United States are oppressed. Of course, Christians can get bullied for being Christian, but that's not oppression. Christians are abled to hold an office, be trusted by peers, be respected by neighbors and leaders, get custody of their children, take part to volunteer and everything else while Atheists can't just because they don't believe in God. I'm happy I live in Finland instead United States.
And what teacher would make a student to write "God is dead" in philosophy class? In philosophy classes people discuss about religion, and in real life he would've gotten fired for that. That's unrealistic touch.
I would like to see a movie about Christians' life in the Middle East, China or North Korea, because there they are oppressed minority. These people are the ones who need help.

Nice stamp. That movie was repulsive.Β Β Even when I was a Christian and watched it, I thought it was overly stereotypical and unrealistic, any professor who would have made all of their students renounce their faith would have been fired. Also it's a philosophy class, where religion should be discussed and debated and shouldn't just be off the table for conversation.Β

God is not dead. He never existed in the first place, and people shouldn't be going to such lengths to try proving their imaginary friend exists just to justify it to themselves. They should stop believing in fairy tales, should accept that this is likely our only life and actually look at the needs of humanity rather than disregarding them for the sake of their imaginary friend.

I'm Christian, and this movie offended me. I mean the last debate where he was like "without God, there's no reason to be moral" is a pretty sick and twisted thought about atheism. The stereotypes go completely out of hand. I mean, I have atheist friends who don't act like smartasses. Sure, there's some anti-theists here and there, but that's no reason to make a movie about it.
