so, this is actually my first vexel/vector that is not part of a collab
when i read "Love Poition No 9" i immediately had the idea of showing the actual potion dripping from a beautiful mouth
AND i also wanted to use a different style of vector layers on this deviation, more rough and painty. i think there are tons of layers and only like 4 of them have 100% transparency
about the actual content?
well, she looks like she took a deep sip of the potion, she really seems to need it desperately
maybe there was some of my sub-consciousness involved
or maybe she took too much of it, and this is the stuff that is coming up again...
i don't know, make up your own mind ^^"

This is stunning and sort of freaky. The contrast between beauty and the greed that's implied by the spilling potion is excellent. The green sparkles suggest that the potion may not be as pleasant to drink as it is to look at. The girl's inaction also suggests that something is not exactly right. There's a darker magic beyond the immediate attraction here, I think.
The picture plays with my mind really well. At first it just looks pretty and well made, but when I begin to think about it, I realise that there's an implicit darkness - almost evil - to it. I think that reflects a truth in life.

I would love it so much more if the love potion was a different color. I get sick just looking at it. It reminds me of pepto-bismol. Ah, I'm sorry.

but actually it is supposed to look unhealthy, the only other option would have been green, which probably wouldnt be much better
first i wanted to use a picture wit something lying on the ground and the juice dripping out of the mouth like blood
anyway, i wanted to use pink, cos it's a "love"-color

I think pink was a good color choice, just that particular shade, and viscosity... >.<

well, i was making the shapes kinda loosely, so it was fun
i wasnt taking the reference too serious i guess
and actually i dont like to use illustrator with me tablet... the dont get along too good
