this was taken years ago... they have since built a flood wall, but seasonal rains, it stillΒ manages to flood and shut down streets along the Ohio river... the irony of my photo was the name of the road and the river literally overflowing its banks...

An eye-opener. Where I live, a few inches of water over a road means it's flooded!

with global warming, and mother nature.... the water's rising... alarming, but alluring at the same time... water, not so much the flooding. thank you for the kind comments

20 minutes from home, jus behind the block I work at in downtown Louisville. When it floods, the traffic patterns are the worst...

Β I live by a river too but we have high dykes to keep the water Β in the Β river, good luck. I hope things do not go bad this year too
