Moonstar's past as far as many can tell is unknown. The only things known are the fact that Moonstar is one of the rare Light Pokemon and she, unlike other Ninetales, does not have the known 1,000 year curse ... but, instead, has the ability to revive the dead. This taboo, depending on how one views the method used to do it, could be called a curse or just sorcery. Either way, with this form of resurrection comes a price: alongside their salvaged spirit lies another, a beast that allows the resurrected to become a shape-shifter of sorts; an ability of which they would need to learn to control. Now permanently living in Pandaria Town she and Risk have an adopted child, a Poochyena named Kari .

It is rumored that Moonstar's ability to revive the dead is because she herself was revived after a great tragedy. Her father was a merciless tyrant; a powerful Ninetales named Oblivion . Her mother was a kind and gentle individual who used to tell her stories about her homeland's history. She has no other blood relations and was an only child as her mother was murdered early on in her life.

Moonstar was originally part of the Untold Secrets cast. This changed after I paired her with Risk
The continent she hails from is known as Kredas . It rests far from all other recorded landmasses and thus, very little is known about it save the fact it holds a great deal of history and a connection to the elements of Light and Shadow. It also only recently became effected by the anomalies that create Mystery Dungeons.

Gift of Rebirth:
One's soul lingers in the world of the living for a few moments after death and, during this time, should Moonstar touch their body she can stall its leave. During this time she can strengthen the soul using raw spiritual energy by binding a phantom spirit to it. However, being a Pokemon not naturally able to manipulate spiritual energy it causes flux to form in the process. When the flux touches the lingering soul one of two things can happen: The resurrection attempt fails and the soul passes on, or is successful and gives the revived Pokemon the ability to shape-shift into another form that'll lend its power should the individual summon them. (This shifted form does not last long, 30 minutes to an hour at most)

Unfortunately, this ability drains the user's energy and leaves them weak or vulnerable. Because of this, Moonstar does not use it very often.
