Description This is Carral (left) and Tannik (right). They are Kapio, a technologically advanced alien race, with frugivore, rainforest-dwelling origins. They are usually peaceful but will resort to warfare if the need arises, using machines and robots rather than Kapio warriors as they're somewhat flighty in crowds, and prone to panic.

Carral is female, and Tannik is male. Counter-intuitive, maybe, but Kapio females are usually slightly bigger than males, and Carral is unusually heavily-built for a Kapio. Most are quite slender and dainty like Tannik. Carral is good in combat situations, being very quick footed, whilst Tannik is a big coward.

Usually they do wear clothes, but once again, naked for showing off designs! I'll probably show some clothe designs later.

These two weren't meant to be one image, but I put them together for comparison. Slightly different styles, but who cares!

Inspirations include Okapis, ants and red pandas.

One of the most lovely and believable alien O.C.'s I've seen in a long time. Great work.

Welcome! I'd keep the "iridescent" look on their chests btw. I use a similar look and I love it!

I'm digging their designs, they're very nicely composed anatomy- and colourwise. As a nitpick, looking at their legs, it appears that their body's center of gravity seems to be somewhere behind them as opposed to in the pelvis - I suppose that's just a quirk of the sketchiness and yeah, it's more of a nitpick.

That's no nitpick, you've got a good point, been finding it hard to deal with the teeny tiny feet and gangly legs and getting them to look balanced, Carral definitely looks more balanced than Tannik, but these were just sketchy-reference, I'll work on it when I make an actual composition with these lot!

Thank you!

All right, coo - I'm sure you'll find a solution eventually
I agree, Carral looks more balanced - as a little suggestion, maybe you could draw a vertical line from their hips to the ground. Like an aid line and their feet/toes may not cross it, to ensure that they're standing well (hope that makes sense) Also maybe make their knees slightly less bent. It's quite hard to get right though, I agree.

interesting! I like these aliens <3
I'm not that surprised the female is bigger, but what surprises me is she seems to ahve slightly more fur-tufts but it sounds like individuals just vary and most look pretty similar eh
OH and Tannik seems to have a shinier front

The shiny front is just a quirk of my colouring! I have some sketches of others, and the fur and colouring, and to a lesser extent facial features, does change a lot between individuals, as well as height. Thankies!
