Description Wow it's been a long time since I drew anything. In my lack of inspiration I've been doing nothing but playing old games. I bought both Fallout 1 and 2 from Good Old Games and I was surprised about how easy they were to approach even by "modern standards" meaning that any game made before the year 2004 looks like quantum gravity equations compared to the idiot-oriented entry level concentration exercises that comprise the modern game market. The last time I played Fallout 2 was probably 10 years ago and back then I couldn't figure the game out at all. Now both games were pretty much a breeze. Surprisingly however the original was easier than the second despite it having strict time limits in its campaign.

Anyway, this is my character Nora from Fallout 2. She doesn't shoot anything. She doesn't stab or swing sledgehamers. She beats everything down with her fists. It never gets old when a swing from her BeatCo Mega Power Fist combat apparatus (depicted in image) lands on the face of an Enclave soldier in Advanced Power Armor, fatally compacting his cranium in the shrinking tin can that used to be the helmet. And those are the actual S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats from the ingame character. No cheats were used, so nevermind the fact that there are at least 12 extra points there. They were acquired by legitimate means I assure you.

She's of course the descendant of the original Vault Dweller, who I accidentally named "None" due to never even touching the name entry box before pressing "start". So congrats Nora, your grandpa never had a name because someone forgot to name him.

And hooray! Mad Max 4: Fury Road is coming in 2014. Made by the director of the original films. Those movies pretty much invented the setting of Fallout. Along with, unfortunately, the fallacy that post-nuclear wasteland is supposed to be a desert, whereas in reality every metropolitan area would be a forest with buildings sticking out of it just a few decades after the apocalypse. Fallout 3 takes place 200 years after the bombs fell and the desolation of DC along with the badly written characters make it seem like it happened last thursday. The people who borrowed Mad Max's setting for their post-apocalyptic stories failed to realize that the Australian outback in Mad Max already looked like that before the nukes.

Yes. Gifted and bruiser traits, and all the enhancement modules installed.

I love how this is drawn in WIN_XP MS Paint! It really fits the game art from Fallout 1/2!

In hindsight I hate how I named my favorite Fallout 2 protagonist the same as what the default female Fallout 4 protagonist ended up being called because that game sucks.

Fallout 4 doesn't suck THAT much! It's just that... You know? It DOES suck
For me it sucks, cuz it has not so many weapons! Fallout New Vegas had ALOT! 9mm pistol, 10mm pistol, 12,7 pistol... Well, you get the point

Did you know if you play as the wife in Fallout 4 the player character name by default will be Nora? (yep, thats the real name of the female protagonist)

Took a few days. And I've been using Paint for almost a decade now. It is difficult, I tell you. Very methodical and systematic. But drawing with any other program is much harder to me.

Oh, the text on the case was made with Photoshop.
