It was supposed to show a feeling of regret, although I'm not sure if that translated well. :[

I used a watercolour texture [I forgot where D: meisan has a pack available for download though]
I set it to either overlay or soft light on a layer above everything else.
Then I created another layer over everything and filled it in with a medium-dark shade of gray and set it to soft light. It kind of deepened the colours.
My monitor isn't calibrated so I'm not sure how this piece looks on other computers. :[
