Tadaa! Final Fantasy fan art. Shiva is usualy my favorite summon.acrylic paints and colored pencil.

I know Shiva is shown as a man in religion, and sometimes as androgynous or as a composite of 2 gods (male/female). You are right, this design would be more fitting for a Kali.
But i drawed it as the Shiva design in the final fantasy universe. An ice-based entity...

Actually since its a twisted pose and a floating character, not very human also, i didnt worry to much about anatomy so i find it easier than drawing life-like poses.
Oh and thanks for dropping by, i visited your gallery for the first time this morning, after seing you post on Kim's page alot, i was curious! and Wow! i will have to spend more time looking at your artwork and to get to read all your comic pages... you do some really nice work !

Very nice! I think youβve done an excellent job blending those different mediums. I especially like the attention you gave to the see-thru skirt. And generally I'm not too big on Photoshoped backgrounds (like with my βBalanceβ piece, which Iβm going to redo one day), but I really like the way you handled it on this piece a lot. And of course, your shading is very well done, I think you chose just the right amount of balance between lights and darks.
Although Iβm unfamiliar with FF (Final Fantasy?), one thing I enjoy about this piece are the βcoolβ shades of blue and the βwarmβ touches of yellow youβve used. That blending of warm and cool colors makes for a nice balance and helps the viewerβs eye travel around the piece, and youβve done a marvelous job applying that.

why thank you D. yes that is final fantasy, i do alot of ff fanart, i love everythig about the games, the music (especialy the classical music of Nubuo Uematsu, my favorite), the colors... ive been playing since Nintendo.
I dont really like the photoshop background, but if i was to fill the page with paint it would have gotten too "bubblely" but i will probably add a real background eventualy...

often people thinks my acrylic paintings are computer colored (even myself i find it looks like that sometimes)
sometimes people have no idea how i color, i think its because i blend every color as smoothly as possible?

Thanks! i wouldnt call it perfect, i got angry at it so many times, i colored over the paint, then i painted over the coloring...a thousand times before i was happy about it!
