Pirate Friday rolls round again and this time I got a pirate done for an afternoon sketch. No pirate in particular but I get the feeling she might not be a real pirate.Pic in sketchbookpro, paper texture added in photoshop

actually alot of pirates werent missing eyes at all ^_^ they used eye patches too have one eye that would quickly adjust to going below deck and just switch the side of the eye patch when needed.....uh....yea...im a nerd....lol awesome work though!!

Mythbusters DID postulate that the Patch was used a lot of time to keep one eye attuned to the dark. [Plausible I think]

Seems a plausible explanation.
I sometimes thought it may have been some sort of captain initiation fee. I wasn't sure what they'd do with the eye after-wards though
