Reminds me of the Egyptian goddess Wenet (The Swift One) aka: Unut, Unnit, Wenut, Wenenut. Originally she was depicted as a serpent but later as a woman with the head of a hare. Her consort was Wenenu, a rabbit headed man, who may have been an aspect of Osiris or Ra. The area she originated in was named after her (Wenu) and she was taken into the cult of Horus/Ra.

How in the world have I never come across this before?! I consider myself a (hobbyist) Egyptology buff and consider rabbits as one of my totem spirits.
I looked her up and wow!
Thank you so much for that lesson. ^_^ I appreciate it.

Everyone keeps looking back to this one because it a very pleasing design.
Now, if you don't mind, I want to recreate this.

Although your art is very lovely I rarely give permission to use my art/lines and never do with images that have had trouble with being stolen/copied in the past (such as this one).
Even if this is an old picture that I'm not so happy with nowadays, please take down your re-drawing of it since I did not give permission to use it.
Your re-drawing is very beautiful, and I do really appreciate your liking the picture so much to want to re-do it, but it's a tricky situation that if I ever allow somebody to re-use my art/designs/characters without permission it sadly sets a legal precedent that I just can't allow to happen. (As with Calvin and Hobbes. He allowed some people to copy and use his dancing pictures since he saw no harm, but when he wanted the snowballing effect of it stopped the courts said that because he allowed it to be used without permission in the first place, that now he couldn't do anything about it being used.)

I LOVE her eye and arm markings! Hell, I love the fact that you made her a rabbit in general!

This is very elegant. The design is much like what I'm interested in working with for my upcoming Visual Novel project.
The almond-shaped eyes and streamlined ears are my favourite parts.

Oddly this was a very quick picture for me, something I whipped up quickly while practicing with my (then) new tablet.

What an magnificent rabbit god you've created. It's like a birth of a new god from Egyptian legion. The eye make-up looks perfect too.

a great combination of Egypt clothing and drawing style (for instance the background )and striking pose. and she isn't wearing that protective material on her arm (u know that leather they wear so birds of pray can be on their arms and don't get their arms torn up)

I've seen this around many times, but this is the first time I've seen it since I made an account, and I just have to say, the irony in this pic is priceless.

Well, I wish I could help you out if it WAS art stealing, but I remember seeing this both on Google images and dArt, but never noted the artist (no offense).
And that is too funny, a male hawk spirit in a female bunny wabbit. Of course, now you've gotten me intrigued, so I shall find your Asthertet piece.

I honestly don't see the "poor quality" you speak of. Yes, it may not be on the scale as your favorites, but it's got flair, as does Asthertet. I like this because it seems to be a different style (Although style isn't the right word) than all your other pieces. It just seems more bold, like it pops out, so to speak, and I really like that.
Oh, and I love the way her tail looks like a little fire. Nice touch.

Awesome, you're the first person to mention the irony. XD
It does have a reason though, she's posessed by the spirit of an anthropormorphic hawk paladin of Horus. It gives her some very (to her) distrubing cravings for meat that she avoids. >.> (The spirit is male too, but that's a whole seperate ball of wax.)
