Febuary 2006I finished it. My first attempt at my usual style with the tablet.
This is a gift picture that I did for LadyNyoko in thanks for buying my DA subscription.
It's her lupe HorusReincarnated. I love drawing desert lupes, and he turned out fairly well. I had a few sketches of him before I settled on this pose.
I only wish that I could have thought of something for him to be looking at. :-/

I envy your art of the desert lupes. ^^ But, mostly the designs you come up with. Currently, I have two- a male of the general design- but with only the headdress and horus eye markings. My other is a girl, light and a jackle- no lupe of anykind. I got her design off of a statue I saw of Bastet. Oh, I'm so original.

Nah, it's not simple. I often draw and re-draw designs and change my mind about 20 times before I scan or upload any final images.

tHANKS so much! I've been wanting to do more with their pages (and get them painted, and do all of my other's pet's stuff..) But, you know how it is- real life gets in the way, most likely more for you than for me- all I have is school. But either way, I'll get to it some day,. ^^

Desert lupes really are cool. I love the way his headdress came out. And the eyeliner is a cool touch. It makes him look so much more egyptian. ^.^

I can't take credit for the design, but I did realy like doing this picture.
This was my first 'tablet on shaded drawing' colouring attempt. I realy like how it worked out overall.

Aww thanks. ^^ Lupes/wolves are my favorite quad character type that I like to draw. The only problem is that I find myself more and more strained to come up with new poses.

It realy helped with this colouring technique as well, and cut the time that it typically takes me down by a bunch.

I'm my favorite method of colouring... mostly colouring directly on a pencil finished peice (fully shaded ect) with a low opacity in adobe.

Wow, thats a way I have never heard of before; looks amazing though. It just gives it that 'finished' and 'perfect' touch ^^ I usually just colour on the PC, I do sometimes do crayon or watercolour but I find the PC a lot easier to use. Also its quicker I find x3

Lovely ^.^ Your egyptian drawings are always so lovely! They are some of my favorites of yours. I've always loved mythology, egyptian being my favorite.. I'm not sure why.

When I first joined neo I had wanted to do a 'water/pirate' theme.. then I found out that there were no pirate paint brushes (well, they didn't come out for at least another two years), and when I saw that koi and jetsam were limited ed, I went with my other fave.. desert!
Wepauwet was nearly named 'Salty_Dog' or 'OlSalt' or something like that, and given a privateer look. O.o

Yea, my mum swears I was a cat in egypt in a past life. I'm very... feline-ish. My nickname is kutty or Miwa-sher which is Kitten in egyptian.. I've always loved egypt. My mum used to tell me egyptian myths when I was a baby. I finally got my own egyptain pet not to long ago.
