The tattoo is a Japanese irezumi, it is huge and complicated and I'm working on it still. I will do little updates to this all the time probably XD

Morgan: It's my mother's maiden name. She's from Greece so her name is well. Greek.

(actually, morgan didn't have a last name since the day i created him and up untill like, the day I drew this. I knew I wanted it to be greek, and two syllables, but i could never find a list of greek last names, my friends found me TONS and one in particular pointed Zabat out. It was like... perfect D8)

I think. Phoenixes. Just because they appear in so many versions in so many cultures. The Japanese Ho-o is probably my favorite example.

Morgan: They're just reading glasses, so I actually don't need to wear them a lot, but I do so much work and schoolwork that involves text that they usually just get left on. That and I think Kate may have a fetish for them. Which really disturbs me.

Right here in Chicago. Joss and I were in Japan for about a week on a graduation present trip deal. Thats where I found out about them. I would have loved to get it done there, but there wasn't the time. So I spend a long time reserching artists here, and was lucky to find a good artist who really knew what it meant to me.
