what the siren? in Arcadia, California that siren goes off everyday at noon. and in the midwest, that siren goes off as a tornado warning (scarry to hear when you're on an on-ramp to the freeway trying to hitchhike in arkansas!)
and many other places in the US use them. they're left over from when people thought there was going to be a nuclear war..... but they still freak me the fuck out.

I've never heard one in real life...
since you know, the northwest doesn't have any
tornadoes or anything. I imagine hearing one
would be kind of freaky though if you weren't expecting it.

we actually can have tornados in washington state, they're just really rare.
but yeah, some towns use them like an alarm clock to chime noon, or every hour. it's freaking weird

Fantastic costume work here and great work on making this piece appropriately Silent Hill-ish in texture and pose. Damn, I hope I never wake up in a hospital to these ladies... O_O
