to back up the scale part, your picture looks astounding in preview view, its only in the full view you can pick out the pixelation

this is pretty cool... the texture you used for the closest mountain is pretty sharp and pixeli... as well as the planet... I think what you just need to do is scale this down, or make your pictures bigger than you want then scale them down or else it..
anyway, its pretty good, the water and the far mountain looks amazing, but then the mountain close to you looks to much like it was computer generated...

It's meant to look like its through the atmosphere... not supposed to be the sharpest texture in the world. Anyways, thanks for the comments... I will keep them in mind when I make my next piece.

Great! It looks serene but at the same time alarming. I wonder if they are going to collide !
Anyway, about the advanced cirtique. Mmmh... I don't know much about space scenarios, so don't take me seriously: the planet looks cool and all that, but don't you think that the atmosphere should cover most of the image? I mean, remember the moon on the morning, it is blue for the sky effect, only on night we can see it on its full splendor.
What I'm trying to say, its that far away objects should probably have a fainter atmosphere (hope that's the correct word), It would be interesting for example, that the planets would be barely visible, make the viewer wonder what its wrong with the image till they discover that its a f....king big planet what's eclipsing the sun!
Heh, heh... well, its just a suggestion. Guess it all depends on the artist style. Anyhow, good work!

True, realistically speaking... but if you are like me, you enjoy your artistic license... Usually the space art I create is more artsy than real. But, you are definitely right... Maybe we are on the moon of a giant planet, and we just see this... that's why they are so close. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated! I will keep the scientifically correct ideas when I create my next piece, which will be a while though... school and all. Anyways, thanks for commenting!
