I really dig this! It's beautifully painted, of course. If I had to say one thing about the design aspect, I would have given the beast sharp teeth, but then, I would be so unoriginal.

it definitely has a bit a feeling as if its inspired by comics more then its an attempt at hyper-realism, but heck, yeah thats the style so why bother -,- I guess thats as silly and unneccessary when someone thinks manga always means big huge eyes with bad anatomy, and everything that doesnt follow this and that style is shi* . equal stuff goes on at high skilled artists who even go as far to say that lineart is just silly and bad, as if it wouldnt have its own quality.

Awesome work, Patrick! I love the composition and the lighting and smoothness of the creature. I'm not a fan of those little aliens though, they seem so cramped
