You feel that way too? I always thought I was the only who one who felt displaced. My mother used to say I held up imaginary skirts when I went up and down stairs...from the day I learned to walk. My hubby catches me doing it even now. Its freakish.

Too bad the styles wouldn't change just a bit more. I mean we've reverted to wearing clothing from the '70's.. why not the 1770s?

There was an 80's thing I totally adored too. I wish that would come back. Fashion is strange it mutates on its return trips. I say we just go on ahead and mutate our own fashions and wear them. I bet it would catch on with some people.

Oh the 80s thing I was smitten with was the jeans fabric skirts. The kind I liked had a full skirt and the top part was sort of fitted (does that even make sense...too bad i cant use the muro thing to draw). Do you remember those petticoat things? They were white and sort of foamy lacy at the bottom? You wore them under the jean skirts with the foamy sticking out. Well I would take the jeans part on one side and gather it up. Then I did the same with the petticoat thingy til the jeans had a splice with foamy all cascading from it. Gods I loved wearing that. Only trouble is now you cannot get either the jeans skirts or the lacy petticoats.
