Description Technically that last picture could have been classed as a Halloween picture, and so could this: convenient AND unintentional.

So spookables. The term spookable has an in-joke-ish-not-really-funny-if-you-really-think-about-it quality to it, but the Seven Spookables were (or quite possibly are) going to be arch nemeses of the Ghost Blunders team. Maybe not arch, I haven't decided yet.

Anyway they have complex roots, it all started with "The Ghost of the House" "The Ghost of the Shed" and "The Ghost of the Box" who were then introduced into the Seven with Miasma, Gusto, Panic and 2-Bit (Now Hi-Scare.) Then House became Grimshoe, who is very very slightly referenced in Phantomime, Shed became Thingimajig, who eventually evolved into Uncle Hekyll, and Box is now Corrugattix. Also Gusto and Panic were scrapped for Mr. Wufflekins and J.P., who himself has quite an extensive backstory which is why he's the makeshift leader of the Seven. I said they were complex.

Anyway it was first unintentional, then intentional, then I couldn't really make up my mind, but several of these ghosts are send-ups of already popular geists: Uncle Hekyll has roots in Freddy Kreuger, Phantomime is not a million miles away from the Phantom of the Opera, Hi-Scare references PacMan and Miasma is inspired by the Chinese Jiangshi though I'm not too confident of her colour scheme right now. Also I might change a couple of the names: Corrugattix sounds almost sci-fi, but I was trying to hint at "corrugated" and "attic."

Anyway they have tricks up their respective sleeves, many of which are not shown but I'll hopefully be able to use them for something soon.

That's true. It was quite unintentional, but thanks!

Why in hell do my comments on this keep disappearing?

I don't recall you commenting on this, or are they disappearing as soon as you post?
I'd suggest you complain, but it's not as if they'll do anything about it.

Maybe I've been consuming drugs. Oh well.

In any event I really like Hi-Scare.

I think these are some of your best designs yet, and I'm not just saying that because they're ghosts, either :3

These guys, along with the Werewofl and the main characters all look really good, Can't wait to see what other things you have up your sleeve

Why thankyou very much. Being THE MAN to go to for ghostly goings on, your acclaim is very noteworthy to me.
I realise the outer glow is something of your own, I only really did it because they looked best on a dark background and needed some definition around the extremities (Phantomime especially). I don't know whether I would do it all the time.
I do in fact have one very distinct plan for Ghost Blunders, but it will require a lot of prep work and my efforts are currently focussed elsewhere.

I hardly believe I'm the first person to do the 'ghost has an outline that glows' thing, but I like to think I put a bit more thought into it than most (normal) people would.

Ghost Blunders is looking excellent so far, but I know how it is with other things that need attention. It's not like your other series aren't bad either, y'know

Well I did notice only yesterday on your current Lancaster/Dane/Shilliam wallpaper that you'd done more than just an aura around the very edge of where the character is drawn, but where the extremeties of the figure actually are which I'll admit I hadn't really thought of.

Yeah, about the only time I'll do that is if it's obvious you can see it

Top quality work on them, they really have that ghost-like appearance overall with the glow and black background.

Excellent as always Fandango, never a dull sight with your art. I especially like Corrugattix, the idea of an evil box is just funny.
