Description
Since this is no longer a Smash Bros project ( I keep saying so) I wanted to draw somebody who had almost no chance whatsoever of being in it: A character whose franchise is fully created and owned by Sony (Ape Escape.)

And while I haven't played much of it (but it is on my to do list) I really like it!
If you want to tell me that Banjo-Kazooie is a better game I won't argue, but if we're talking about 3D adventure games inspired by Super Mario 64, I love that the collectibles aren't just shiny things that open doors, but are (somewhat) intelligent monkeys that you have to chase down and capture with a time-and-space warping net. It's a really novel idea!

Plus I love the overall art style of the three main games (and actually have a little more Ape Escape fan art in the pipeline!) it seems that later on the series split into two different "timelines," the super-cutesy one that was mainly mini-game collections and the strangely gritty one that appears to be a dystopian future where the monkeys have already taken over. Not a bad idea, but this one is very urban and grey and bland to look at.

I hear there's rumours of a new game on the horizon, but as a Playstation exclusive I'll never play it. Still, I hope it happens!

Okay, maybe you thought that Boy & His Blob entry was a cop out, right?

Well this time it's a lady, she's from WayForward, she has funny coloured hair, she can change shape...who else could it be!?
