Description Winnie the Pooh
October 2009
Google Images, Wacom Intuos 9x12, Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0

I had a bad day, so I'm taking it out on all of you with Photoshop. It's like something out of a waking nightmare! D-does that small varmint have dynamite?

All elements of the picture were liberally stolen from Google Images, generally within the first page of their search terms ("sitting bear", "giant rabbit", "kangaroo with joey").

Wait, I forgot. IS there a squirrel? Or a gopher or whatever?
Jeez I'm dense.

Gopher, who may well have been entirely an invention of Disney and had no relation to the original Milne. I ended up adding him to cover a seam in the grass.

Okay, add Gopher to the list of most likely not to be a Plushie in the toy chest...

About the only thing missing is a doll to represent Christopher Robin (for the full role reversal effect)...

While that's a valid thought, think about this - how many of them were actually plush? Rabbit seemed organic enough, as did Owl. I'd have had to have puzzled an entire opposite cast roster out based on data I'm not even sure of!

From what I remember of the Pooh stories, owl was the one occupant of the Hundred Acre Woods most likely to not have been one of the plushies in Christopher Robin's toy chest (besides Christopher himself). The rest were definitely all toys (not counting characters added for the later animated series, such as the blue bird).

Mind you, I may be misremembering some of this, so don't take just my word for it.
