In 1990s Sydney, band of misfit crossdressers try to navigate their way through a world at an awkward place between acceptance and hatred, through tears, temper tantrums, and the odd alcohol bender. 

When newcomer baby queen Darla Swallows arrives from the middle of the outback and joins the roster of performers, determined to get laid and wreak havoc, Les Girls headliner Seraphina Spitfire's patience is tested to its limits and back. 

Meanwhile, mother hen Ivy Dee has some marital issues, Phina's best friend Farrah Way goes AWOL, Miss Demeanour and Mary Jane Holland are determined to shag their way across Sydney's pub circuit, and Fabrizia LaFont just wants one bloody show to run to schedule for once...

I know I fuckig love Marcie. I’m sure you could work in some kind of symbolic something about her character seeing as she’s so involved but also uninvolved with Farrah and Rich’s story but I can’t be arsed thinking what it is

She does. I get wanting to protect your kid from bullying, but alienating her from a positive relationship is not the way to go.

Yeah - good intentions, shitty execution. I think her major concern was how prolonged exposure to Nigel and his obscene gayness was apparently going to turn her gay, and look how well that worked it for her

Yeah, she’s kickass. I feel like she’s gonna have to get her own story too, although idfk what about. She’s kinda like the Les Girls answer to Teen Angel

Yeah that ain't how it works, lady. Immy is already set in stone, it's just a matter of time before it's fully realized. I bet she does blame Nigel for Immy being gay, unless having a gay daughter actually softened her. It can happen...

This is all very true. It kinda stinks and as a general rule parents who even entertain the idea of trying to prevent their child from turning out gay even for a second fucking suck.
