Description I've been meaning to hash together some fursonas for these ladies for a while, and seeing as I'm half-reasonable at drawing in the Zootopia style I decided to hash together a few ideas. There are very specific reasons for each choice of animal - and as in Zootopia, I've limited the choices to mammals only.

Rana's sketched in blue, and she's a lioness. I established a while ago that she's feline - though I figured that a housecat would lack the same sort of power which she has, so that idea was scrapped in favour of making her something bigger. I picked a lion simply because it's convenient colouring-wise. And the slight offness in the symmetry of her face is intentional - you'll get why if you know her origin story.

I decided to make Severine a prey animal of some sort, as I felt that the predator/prey juxtaposition worked well with the dynamic of she and Rana's relationship. She's sketched in purple, and she's an impala antelope. I referenced her proportions a little on Gazelle, but she's a different species altogether (female impalas don't have horns, which is half of the reason I made her one, as I didn't want to rip off Gazelle's design entirely.) Impalas are one of the main prey animals of lions, so it had to be done. Also, the ear tag is intentional - it's meant to allude to the prostitution thing.

The two dogs (green and pink) are Ramona and Michelle, respectively. Ramona is a Bracco Italiano - physically there's a fair bit of resemblance in the form of their colouration and the slight Roman nose thing they've got going on. Also, they're Italian by origin, as is she. Also, I figured making her a gundog was apt, what with her career and everything. Michelle is a poodle - fluffy hair, what more do you want? I feel she was pretty unoriginal, but given that they canonically have kids it made sense to make them both dogs. Louis is a Doberman Pinscher if anyone cares.

I'm not the biggest fan of how Olivia turned out - she's in orange, and she's an Arctic fox. I referenced her the closest to any of the movie animals, and she was also the last one that I drew, so I was getting a touch burned out. I chose an Arctic fox for a few reasons - for one, they're tiny, which I find hilarious given that she'd be lording it over an office of mammals at least three times her size (she generally has to stand on desks to get attention from anyone.) Also, there's the whole 'sly and sneaky' thing, which is apt for the head of a secret service. Plus she's ginger - so are Arctic foxes, at least periodically.

Finally, Evelyn's at the top in red. She's a Norwegian Fjord Horse - I wanted to make her something big, and settled on a horse firstly because of Fjord horses' colouring, and secondly because of how well they link to her story - leg injuries in horses generally spell the end of their careers (or indeed lives) which is apt as this is exactly what happened with her. She looks a lot more like 13foxywolf666 's Samsung than i'd perhaps like, but I'll try and rectify this when I draw her properly.

I want to do decent drawings of all of these guys at some point soon. Particularly Rana - I'm in love with her design.

As someone who loves a good bit of anthro art every now and then, I love this. I think my favourite is either Rana or Evelyn, but I can't tell if that's because I love lions and horses or because of my fondness for those two characters

Thank you! Rana is probably my favourite too - the designs for the big cats in this film are just beyond gorgeous, and I think she's little exception

No problem! Rana is always gorgeous. Even after everything that happened to her, I still have a soft spot for her as a character, human or otherwise

For someone who's only getting into drawing animals/anthros, they look amazing! And I love how your art looks drawn in colour rather than graphite. It suits your style, I think.

Thank you! Oh, they're just gorgeous - they're pretty closely-related to GSPs too, and we considered getting one for a while. One of Hector's best friends is a Bracco/Basset hound mix called Bruno, and he's just gorgeous. So damn soft...and all the extra skin on their necks too - they're basically likfe forever-puppies in that respect. You could sit and play with their faces for bloody ever.

You're welcome.

Stretchy face to the max! And it usually feels like a massage when you do that with a dog's face, so you get to play with living fuzzy putty with absolutely no complaints from the owner!
