Enjoy the moment...Edit: This picture was heavily inspired by an ad in a sneaker magazine I bought for references... and by Blacksad (a little anyway) +coughsplutterCannotCompetediediedie+ Woo... Intending to clean and color this up... Like every other WIP I've ever uploaded.

first off, hats off to you for using curvliniar so efficiently; it really looks the bees knees since everything bends so uniformly around one point. i must ask how you set that up to work out just how curved the lines composing the drawing need to be.
the use of curvliniar seem most suting for your world anyway since it is something of a dream relm and the normal rules of physics need not apply. it would be interesting to know if you were mearly meaning to use it as an effect or whether this is an exact representation of this street. squid seems so wonderosly oblivious to the certain tenticaled things encroching on this idillic scene. the pose you've chosen for him combind with his expression really give us the sense that he's enjoying the simple pleasure of being out on a nice day to its full and that he seems so away with the fairies. in contrast, the look on the cat really works to show how everythings goign to go pear shaped in a minute. also, i dig the ripple effet of the thing phasing through the shop window and the way you slipped in your signature is most inventive.

Did you use one of those wicked cool blue pencils for this or did you mess with it in photoshop?
I think different coloured pencil leads look way better than straight up grey graphite. Its refreshing, y'know?\
Anyway...I love this particular character of yours. Squid and Ohm (is it Ohm or Om?). They're both cool.

Yes, I have blue pencil lead used by animators~ I only upped the levels of the picture in photoshop to make the lines more distinct. thanks for the thoughts, karnokoto!

Nonsense! I put a layer(s) behind it, turn down the opacity on the original piece, and color away! Once the coloring itself is done, I go back and change the saturation on the lineart to a darker color (dark grey, I'm thinking), and.... voila! Tres Manifique!
