As those of you who have spoken with me via the Shoutbox on Redwall Wiki know, I have a LOT of free time during my shifts at my local library. Some of you also know that the library computers block DeviantArt. What I never mentioned was THE PEN. This is the most beautiful pen the world has ever known! It works JUST like a copic marker, and I LOVE the way the strokes turn out! So one particularly slow day, I individually Googled the reference for and drew all my favorite BONE characters (minus Roderick - sorry, buddy, I couldn't find a good pic of you
) on purple stickey notes. So here they are! The Rat Creatures were the most fun to draw. I love their big jeweled eyes and soft leathery ears, and their fluffy, fluffy fur!

Nope. No original Bones in Quest for the Spark. Just the three new ones. Who I'm looking forward to meet. But for some reason, I can NEVER remember the nephew's name. I know his name's Barclay, but I keep wanting to call him Barnwell 
But the Stupid Rat Creatures seem to be in the "hero group" now, so that makes it awesome 
I wonder if we'll get to know their histories a little bit. So far, I think they grew up together like twin brothers raised by a foster mother. I gotta tell you, the original story was waaaay too sugary, so know I have it about how the Nights of Lightning came to be and that it was all an idea by their (very embittered)foster mother.

I thought that the picture of one rat creature holding the small, obviously dead mammal was supposed to indicate that they were still in a predatory role, but that would be AWESOME if I was wrong! I hope I'm wrong, I hope I'm wrong, I hope I'm wrong...

It's a graphic novel (comic book) series. It's considered one of the top ten best graphic novels of all time, so pretty much every library and bookstore has them!
