Im a slight bit unclear on this piece. Is this a cosmetic effect or is this all real? I noticed the gardening comment in the description, so I wanted to see where it stands. Either way, the picture is lovely, and the grunge vs the bright grass is very expressive!

It's just dirt, and a little fake blood that was lying around in a tube from Halloween. I was elbow deep planting shrubs, thought that the texture was amazing, and took some pictures of it. No effects from Photoshop, etc, here - I am useless when it comes to editing

Mmmm Hmmmm.....I see what you have done here. Very nice luminosity and gamma. I think the saturation is great. Not overdone at all but still bringing out the true possibilities of the photo. Exactly what HDR should do...all though I do like some of the pseudo HDR peeps out there. Its got its on thing going for it when its done right. This is just more to my personal liking. Now...improvements. I would like to see a bit more contrast. I think it will make the highlights in the hand pop more and bring out the awesome textures. There is a spot of haloing in a few parts but thats kinda being picky and actually could of been desired by you which if so...thats awesome. If not...try playing with the smoothness sliders a touch more. It can be a delicate balance. Hope you didnt mind the novel! LOL!
