Fan art of the space cruiser Yamato, Nova, and Derek WildstarStar Blazer was a show I watched religiously when I was a kid. Hmmm... showing my age here. This show is kinda of the grand daddy of anime to be broadcast in the US. After this came out, Robotech was next... and that open the flood gate of all the other anime shows.

composition and, characters and colors are on the spot but you are missed a laser gun and also there some flaws in yamato design, im also fan of the series becouse this is my first anime ever in my life

yep, of course i've heard of it, but Robotech was the show I had to get up at 7 am to watch as a kid, and I thought it was the first.

Star Blazers is my absolute favorite, show and inspiration of style... followed second by Peter Chung and Aaeon Flux (then Michael Golden, Masamune Shirow, and other comic book faves).
Your takes here, on all three, are both spot on, and kineticly cool (especially your Nova)!
Me and my best friend used to worship the show, and couldn't get enough of it... I would get out my tape recorder (audio tape mind you, not video tape... as ya know, this was pre vcr), and record the episodes, so I could listen back to the episodes...
We'd sing the song, and draw the ships in 7th grade drafting class...
Ah, good times, great show!
(And it holds up well too, unlike other childhood favorites... I've got the whole first series on DVD, which was all that ran on local TV, but have never seen the 2nd or 3rd series, or the films...)
