Description * Edit * .. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT! My pumpkin was a runner-up winner (top 6) in the DA pumpkin carving contest (with over 4,700 submissions) [link]

Per request, this is the lit version to supplement the "Lazy days with Totoro" pumpkin, which is here: [link]

The pumpkin was shot with a 15-watt fluorescent light bulb inside, as opposed to a candle, making it viewable in brighter areas.

This is absolutely stunning! Did you do the darker outlines in sharpie?

i could have used sharpie but the ink isn't always opaque enough (slightly streaky, especially when the tip gets wet by pumpkin juice). most of this one was done with black india ink and a small watercolor brush. i may have used a sharpie for a quick touch up afterwards. thanks for looking!

sorry for the late response. for this one, i used a linoleum cutter, exacto blades, wood carving tools, black india ink, and a little white gouache for highlighting. thanks for looking
