Thanks. It's actually a few steps.
1. Get an EvE account, download and install the game so you have the game models on your computer
2. Use an app to extract the models into a .ofc or .3ds model
3. Import that into Blender or some other 3D program to clean it up
4. Export that into Pepakura, which then creates a printable model
Print on card stock, cut out, assemble.

I have the plans to build this model, but I was hoping that you could give me some tips on what kind of paper you used to print the template on... Is it laminated card stock???

It is 85 lb card stock. Afterward, I coated it with a spray gloss enamel.
