Creideiki met 1-on-1 on Ignatio Metz's request. Surprisingly, Metz tried to pursuade Creideiki to surrender to the alien faction that would emerge victorious, naively believing that the crew will be kept alive, and some may even be allowed to return home. Creideiki tried to avoid making decision in an ad hoc private meeting, but Metz would not drop the topic.

So in order to stop the conversation, Creideiki changed the topic to the disciplinary problems and anti-social tendencies among several Steno crew members, and invoked command privilege to peruse Metz's psychological evaluation notes, since all problem dolphins supposedly passed prior to boarding the ship. This put Metz immediately on the defensive, since he did have something to hide. But Metz was saved by an urgent summon of Creideiki to the bridge.

Now Metz was on guard, since he wasn't sure what Creideiki knew.
