Description My Wild West ponies Juniper (Thistle Chaser) and Ponderosa Pine. Still Braeburn's super kids. But after a lot of thought, and a well written fanfiction, I decided to give them a new mom, as their very conception by Roseluck was just a joking way to piss off a friend, I could never really get behind the advancement of these characters because...well...I kind of need to create an emotional investment in the parents of these ponies for myself, otherwise I have a hard time even making them.

So the change in mother definitely required new looks for them. Or at least some slight changes.Β 

Can you guess the mom? Hopefully it isn't too hard.

Oh YES!!! Victory! With Junipers purple hair and her being a unicorn just made me lean so far, but Ponderosa being so brown made me second guess.

Ponderosa's looks can mostly be attributed to his father. But his personality is more in line with his mom.

I can see that, the brown honestly threw me off since Braeburn isn't brown so I wasn't sure if it was him. Though honestly I think it's awesome and I have been working on how to incorporate parents into making my fan kids and that I shouldn't be as much of a stickler of only using the parents said colors.

Same, I've been working to use parents of parents colors as well. Obsessive me wants to work out a chart based on genes how things would be passed down, but that's when I snap out of it and realize that's not normal XD. But for my Twishy kids I was using Twilights parents genes as well, figuring since Twi gets a good chunk of her hair from her dad, her kids might have it too, that Velvets multicolored hair was passed so accounted for that. But I'm weird XD

Just trying to find ways to make better kids cause I want them to look great from a design perspective, but still make them look like children of said parents. Plus seeing people already make a child similar to one I was going to make is stressful itself >_<

Oh I know that feeling all too well. Β So many good designs and beautiful color schemes. But oh well! As long as I've got my imaaaaginaaaaaaaaatiiooooon. Β There is always options. Β But thats what's cool about ponies is that you can go off the wall and not worry 'too much' about genes.

thanks. Β in case you're curious, I kind of based Ponderosa's color scheme off of Tex. A G1 toy. He had pink mane and I felt that would be appropriate.Β
