oh yeah ryuusuke is inspiring, lots of this turned up cus i went on a gainax kick (mainly gurren laggen) and the spots seem to work a tad bit better with my lines.

I met that cat at SDCC, it's not often a say a guy is cute but he's just soooo enthusiastic and nice! He actually looks like his artwork.... except he's not a schoolgirl and he has a beard. I tried working in a similiar way, with black spots and specular highlights but I don't ink much so I havn't really got it down. And Gurren Lagannn is maybe perfect. I | Yoko!!!

I might not have this concept grasped with perfect accuracy, but I'm under the impression that Toripo is a character that Akira Toriyama injects into his creations as a cameo of himself. I think I remember seeing Toripo in Dr. Slump and Tobal No. 1.
