For some reason this picture reminded me of this song... mainly because it looks kind of lonely and abandoned, not that rotten to have fallen of the tree, betrayed somehow... Anyway I love that The Gathering song - "Alone" - www.youtube.com/watch?v=_G7fYU…

nice idea - just one thought. Your DOF is actually slightly too shallow here - see how all of the leaf isn't in focus? You might try stopping it up one the next time you do something like this

Yeah I know the feeling. Sometimes an image looks okay on the viewfinder and then when you load it you realise it's horrible!

Is it the viewfinder? I thought that was the small one, I mean on the LCD screen where it look sharp... but then when you get home and blow it up... you get the nasty surprise, but like I mentioned I quite like the DOF in this picture.. and thanks for the advice, next time I shall blow it up to the maximum and check on all corners...of the object in particular, sure it won't harm!

yes on the LCD screen sometimes it doesn't look sharp but I think that's more to do with our eyes than anything else!
