I believe that the line is too long and the plumage of the very little head..... leave the influence of Gregory's illustration Paul.

Which line? Do you think this is too much like Paul? My pen style, stipple style, and graphite style are all different, do not know why. This style was done originally for illustrations, and I had to "simplify" the model a little for the product that will be published, so the detail was ... casual here.

The likeness is not really in the style, if on the poses her and the result. In the last book of Paul (Dinosaurs of the Air, 2002), appears one illustration of Confuciusornis exactly in the same poses, with a very similar plumage, and in a very similar tree. It is clear that the style is different, but the result is very similar.

Wow, I just realized that. Looking at the pic, I can see this. it was probably an unconcious imitation. Ugh. May need to remove the picture.... I hate copying....

i have allways had a problem imagining a small animal with a thin feathered neck. Arent the featherfossil confucies more poofy?
