Wonder what shape was his nose... Oh, and i always imagined him having a dewlap, a gular pouch or something similar considering that downcurved chin, but maybe i'm wrong!

Not sure about a dewlap. The throat muscles attach all the way at the front of the jaws, and the hyoid bones lie along these muscles and parallel to the mandibles, as recovered in multiple specimens in which no distinct dewlap is present, at least a muscular one. Expansive throat pouches and extensible dewlaps, a la anoles, have particularly unique hyoid bones and we don't have data supporting such a thing in almost any dinosaur. I say almost any. There are some dinosaurs that suggest some unique throat muscles, but for the most part these are not included in cranial reconstructions and their presence is only slightly hinted at when studying their heads. I won't get into that right now.

Interesting; and what do you think about the possible shape of the nose, at least in Plateosaurus?

In life? Hmmmm ... I have an idea, but for that you're just gonna have to keep your eyes peeled to the top of my blog.

It's in my banner, actually. I'll get around to doing something about fleshy schnozes down the road; will mention "prosauropods" there.

Uh? I just went to your blog and the banners are of a bear, a shark, Velociraptor, skimmer, Anurognathus (i guess) and Globidens but no Plateosaurus...

No worries! Though, I'd rather people discover it casually, instead of being hinted at it... heh.

Nice. I like the oldschool feel of the dotted shadows.
