Description Recently, the large unenlagiine Austroraptor cabazai has given a peculiar focus on some adaptations of the jaws normally found in other, unrelated theropods.

With short, numerous teeth lacking serrations and with fine striations on the crowns, a long and low maxilla with short lateral exposure of the antorbital fossa, and a cranially curving preorbital bar, this skull reminded many of spinosaurids when it was first unveiled in 2006's SVP in Denver. However, it clearly is related to Buitreraptor, only much, much larger -- [link]

Can I use this as reference for my austroraptor?

I don't know the images. They were compiled from images that were released for the public purpose of research, and I composited them. So long as your purpose isn't to claim right of use and make money off the works without acknowledgment of the source material, or not sourcing the material you're adapting or using as a reference, then you're good.

Certainly it wasn't going after big game like other dromeosaurs, since it converged so heavily on spinosaurs

Based on your line of reasoning, spinosaurs were not going after big game, but this has not been proven thusfar. Recent modeling of the skull of Baryonyx indicated it could withstand a great deal of pressure, similar to extant crocodiles, which it mimicked. Considering that Austroraptor converged on a similar skull construction, we can assume its skull could do the same. The only reason why were hypothesizing that Austroraptor could not go after big game is because of its teeth, but teeth seldom are a direct indication for a preferred dietary regime. However, its depiction as attacking a sauropod might be a bit over the top..
