Napoleon was born in Idaho to a local family farm near Boise. The youngest brother, Napoleon looked after his family of three sisters and mother when his father and older brother hunted and traded as prospectors. Being a farmhand and eventually shadowing his brother taught Napoleon to master the ways of Survival and Sneak tactics, which proved beneficial for him later.

Not much is known of Idaho as of 2281, other than the local farms were suspectible to raids. Back when Napoleon was 18, his farm was pillaged and detonated by marauders, and his parents sold into slavery. This broke his older brother into becoming vengeful and jaded. Napoleon and his brother spent the next year and a half tracking the marauders and eventually found them. His dad was a miner and mother forced into prostitution. Unfortunately, they passed away from poor health. Napoleon and his brother drew a deathclaw pack into the camp by stealing the egg of a dangerous mother deathclaw that, along with her deathclaw pack, ripped apart the camp and killed the tribe that kidnapped the family.

Napoleon's three sisters went into the NCR, and Napoleon's brother vanished sometime later back in Idaho. Napoleon was looking for work in Southern Oregon, where he traveled and met three men at a whiskey bar. They went by: Matthew, Conroy, and Eddy. These four took up work as hitmen mercs and hunted down anyone or anything that matched the pay to their standards. The caps were rollin' in.

Three other men joined: Steven, Timmy, and Yuh-ki. The total of six of these men formed their own gangs and they became warlords based on the talents the gang held. Conroy decided to become chairman and form a slavers union that would be considered a smaller version of Caesar's Legion, minus the Rome aspect.

For a time, years later, they prospered, but Napoleon, Eddy, and Matt questioned the direction and moral ethics of the union. NCR eventually found word and overran their territory. The union fell apart and only three survived: Timmy, Napoleon, and Conroy.

Timmy told the NCR of Eddy and Matthew. Mighty Matt gave his life for Napoleon, his closest friend, so Napoleon woukd not be arrested. Eddy died fighting for the past glory of the hitman days. Steven, Conroy, Timmy, and Yuh-ki hunted Napoleon in the wilderness, but Timmy betrayed Conroy by killing Steven and Yuh-ki.

Timmy enjoyed inflicting misery on others, and mortally wounded Conroy. Timmy left the woods and left Conroy to die. Napoleon found Conroy first before that, and Conroy gave his sorrows to Napoleon, but Napoleon reminded him that it was his fault for the direction of the gang trying to 'climb-high and fall short'. Napoleon left Conroy to be chewed apart by the wildlife.

Timmy made off with the caps, and had a friend whom worked as an Oregon ambassador that could give him NCR citizenship. Timmy assumed he had hit the jackpot by selling out his friends and business, and keeping the treasure for himself but Napoleon survived. Napoleon exposed Timmy's friend to the chain of command and he was removed for his corruption.

Instead, the NCR set up a sting operation where Timmy would get close to obtaining citizenship, but instead he would be subdued and hung for his crimes. Timmy saw Napoleon give his last wink to him before his neck broke. Timmy cursed his name for besting him in his clever wits.

Napoleon turned away from the life living as a hypocrite, the very thing he saw that killed his family. He took up work as a courier, the instrument that would shape the Mojave, and have it sing his tune at the Blackjack table in the future to come for an Independent Vegas.
