Description My scanner freaked out and scanned this picture horribly. I was quite irritated because I really like how the picture turned out in my sketch book.

But, alas, it is what it is.

And it is Robin. I imagined this to be good ol' Dick. I am trying to work on making cleaner sketches and improve my shading so I am proud of this piece because it's a clear improvement over drawings I did earlier this year. Even ones I did last week for that matter. I am also trying to get better at drawing faces. I swear I spend the majority of my day watching TV or out in the world just staring at peoples faces and thinking to myself how I would draw that. I don't even think I pay attention to anything else anymore...hahaha oh the life of an aspiring artist.

aww thanks! haha the effect the scanner had is probably the contrast and other changes i made in photoshop. the scanner just made it yellowy and grainy lol

haha yeahh. i hate it though when the scanner just will not cooperate and the drawing turns out like blurry and dark on one side and plain gross. lol

This looks sooo awesome! I love the cross hatching and his hair looks awfully sexy! I also really love how clean the whole thing is! You should try coloring it, see what happens!

hahaha i love his hair too. i want to touch it.. and it took a lot of restraint to keep it that clean lool. the cross hatching helped me be more decisive with my lines but still allow me to sketch around a bit so that helped. it also helped that i accidentally threw away the eraser from my pencil and couldnt erase anymore. i had pulled it out to fix something and then i also grabbed the baby lead that was trying to fall out of the tip of my pencil...and it the process of throwing the piece of baby lead away i also threw my eraser. right into my half full laundry hamper. so now i have no idea where it is. haha.

and coloring? haa maybe...

Haha losing your eraser really worked in your favor then haha! OH that reminds me, I got this eraser that helps for small areas that need erasing and it's called Tuff Stuff eraser stick or something like that. It cost a couple bucks on amazon but I LOVE It. It's really stiff so it doesn't bend and it doesn't take a whole lot of pressure for it to work and I can get really tiny spots of my drawings erased! It's so awesome.. I had to tell you about it.
