Oh man, this is GORGEOUS.
I can't believe there are no comments yet...! That's an injustice right there.

Thank you!
I don't often get many comments, but part of that maybe because I'm not too active on here.
I also don't often reply unless it's something I can say more than thank you to, which may be a bit of a deterrent for others to comment.

Ah, yeah. I often find it difficult to find new things to say to commenters, ha ha.
Honestly though, I'm not exactly that active on here, especially with posting art.
To be fair though...deviantART isn't exactly the best place to judge quality based on popularity. Believe me, I've seen people who really shouldn't have as many followers and ass-kissers as they do. Not entirely based on art quality, either. If you've got some humility regarding your work and are pleasant, I can definitely appreciate any work you do. But there are some people here who act like absolute children - unfortunately including many adults past the age of twenty. Β And there are also people who will insist their art is perfect in every way, will give every excuse not to try and improve or follow up on constructive criticism. There are even people who will flip their shit at the slightest bit of criticism, even constructive suggestions.
I don't know. I just kind of feel like deviantART is a bit of a shithole.
Uh, long story short, it's not really a serious art site. Er, what I was trying to say is that, I'm not that surprised at the lack of feedback, and hopefully, neither are you.

Yeah, I can agree with that.
That being said, I still think DA can be a good place to collect a portfolio, and even has some good resources. It just has a lot of flaws for an art site and a huge one is the community. I know there's several reasons behind why people act the way they do towards criticism, but it's still just a shame that it's so commonly taken negatively, even if it's well worded and polite.
It's also always a toss up of what type of people are going to find and appreciate your art.
I know personally I'm not really the type to go out of my way to comment on things that I like, so I don't expect others too either. It's always nice when you get a fan who's vocal about their appreciation though.
