PLEASE COMMENT!I don't know you, but if I were Gordon, I'd feel pretty guilty if my experiment went wrong and caused mankind to be enslaved by an alien empire, not to mention my colleagues at Black Mesa who have died because I simply pushed a cart.
I'm so happy with how the G-Man's face design turned out. I believe I've managed to stay true to the creepy nature of the guy with the briefcase, all by applying my own style to him.
As for the test chamber image, some of you will obviously notice it's a screenshot image from the upcoming Black Mesa mod for Half-Life 2, slightly modified in Photoshop (the Cut Out effect always looks soooo good...

It's an inside joke running in the Half-Life game series. Gordon has a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from MIT, but all he does in-game is push buttons. As the player, we can only assume that Gordon knows what pressing such button provokes scientifically speaking.
Besides, would YOU worry about your physics degree when you're fighting for your life against Marines, Zombies and extra-dimensional aliens?

Technically, it wasn't Gordon's fault. He was just the person that pushed the crystal into the machine, so therefore, it was not his fault really. It's like saying 'I stabbed someone, but it's the knife's fault they're dead', It makes a bit of sense, but its not 100% accurate. Also, it was Gordon's first day, so that puts a bit of guilt on him I suppose.
He screwed up on his first day. AGAIN, no doubt.

I always thought Of Gordan Freeman as stone-hearted, for he faces allot traumatic situations with losing his sanity. You however are expressing the opposite and how he feels on in the inside if...he....were...erm....well...normal.

Yeah, but that wouldn't stop him from feeling sorry for the people who died because of the BMI. Playing around in the beginning of the game, I kept thinking "All of that because I pushed a goddamn cart?!"

Anyway, great picture! I love the whole 'half in shadow effect' you have going on there. Both their expressions look absolutely amazing – Gman's look and the raw sadness on Gordon's face... you can really feel it.

"Half-Life 1 with the Source Engine"? Um... excuse me, but... what are you talking about? The Black Mesa mod will be a complete remake of the first Half-Life game, not Half-Life 3.
But yeah, this year's gonna be really good for VALVe (except without Episode Three
