They look quite like each other a lot. I used to think about changing his design because of that...
but then I just let he look this way, as it's how I want him to look like at the first place, not by inspiring or copy from anyone. So this is gonna be how he looks 
I don't change the design just because it's happened to look like somebody's design... cause deep inside I know it's not from tracing, inspiring, or pulling color things, it comes right up from my mind and I love him this way.
But I might change it in case it's really important to somebody and it bothers them to see it around.Β
I want him to look different and unique among the pridelands lions, his old pride in the desert have several golden lions like him

I got some new TLK fans tried to pick up this topic about both of my Uru and Ahadi design to me by note and claiming that I'm a copy cat one or two times since last year...
It's quite annoying.. especially for the one who's always very strict about copyright stuff like I am.

LOVE IT, love their expressions and the background, as well as their sibling relationship at first, it makes sense, it also makes sense it develops from there.
I have one question: Are Ahadi's scar so neat now (they look like if they were done with a blade instead of being caused by Ahadi's bite) because Nya had to reopen them so his mane would grow/so they wouldn't become infected?

I'm glad you asked. Ahadi's scar condition represents how much time he spent as part of the pride, The scar on his neck will appear smaller and less redness by time. NyaΒ treats it wellΒ ^^Β (Ps. it's the ripped out skin wound, so the scar appear big cause there no skin around to close it anymore)Β
also, you won't see his ribs appear here anymore (like you can see in this picΒ Whoops!!! ) as he gets enough food to eat, his body starts to grow to the average size of his age which explain why he now looks quite a lot bigger than Uru (who's in the average cub size) when they first met which is several months ago. Soon scar on his neck will all cover by his mane, the only remnant of that past is a scar on his face

Uru always wanted a big brother and Ahadi lost his little sister during their journey.
Even he sounds annoyed by Uru all the time, but he really want to protect her from all danger.. as he blame himself for not be able to keep his sister alive ;(Β
