I finished this almost two months ago. I was kinda just messing around with the brushes I made. I really like drippy things.I had this idea that it could be on a shirt, so the original doesn't have the textures. The bird is based off a mix between a sparrow and a chickadee. Critique please? I would like to know where I can improve.

Thank you! I actually created the drippy things with watercolor and then just brought it into photoshop and turned them into brushes to achieve that effect. I find it quite fun to mix the media like that.

It has something cool about, but also needs something - or a lack of something; Personally I would maybe ditch the coloured swirls altogether.

I actually made this more for the swirls and less for the bird. lol It's odd that you see it as being the opposite. But thanks for the advice. Sadly, I think you are right.

There are birds with big swirly tails. You could use the technique in drawing one. Or a fantasy kind of one.
