Augest Birthstone*sighs* Doesn't even look like paridot. And, I've already made a green one. I'm not very creative at the moment. Too...ungraceful. Needs more delicatsy. *sighs again*

it may not be the exact color of peridot, it's true. but the proportion and detail is quite good. maybe i'm just partial to green :-P

green is actually my favorite color, but i usually like the deep rich hues rather than the kind of citrus green that is the color of peridot. but even if it's not my favorite color, peridot is a beautiful gemstone!
do you plan to continue this series? are you choosing random gems or do you plan to do the 12 birthstones?

oh, ok. i was trying to go for the deep hues in my emerald one,
but it turned out to be citrus also. i like blue gemstones, usually,
such as sapphire. i'm still working on that one, though. i've made
it several times but each time i hated it. i did period because
it's my mother's birthstone, and it is a very pretty gem.
yes, i am planning on finishing the series.

but i think i might do all of the birthstones.

well, as an artist, you should do what you want to do. if you want to do whatever gem strikes your fancy, than it is totally your call.
that being said, it would be nice to have a birthstone series. it gives your watchers something to anticipate and collect, and it would showcase your ability to work with and interpret many different colors.
either way, have fun. i know i will enjoy the results ^_^
