Description From 2007,
Something I've managed to paint in the evenings while working days at a construction site.
This one was a MAJOR pain in the ass to paint, but I managed to finish it anyway. My goal was to paint a happy painting for once, something peaceful and loving - but when I first showed this to someone other than myself, they said it was a very sad painting, haha. So, decide for yourselves.

I really like it. And yes it is sad, but its got also something loving in it. The mood is dark and vague, but this pose is quite intimate. Thats why i like it so much i think. Anyway its really beautifull!

thank you ! The pose was the hardest part in this one I think, I just couldn't get it right until after many many sketches and new layers of paint. I'm glad you like it.

One of your best recent works! And yes it is sad. Who ever you showed it before, he must be a genius to figure that out... Another "towards the light"-experience in my opinion. I hope you'll keep this up...

Thank you , but it is not sad! Not to me atleast, but now that I think of what you said about a "towards the light"-painting I think that this might actually be a pair to the painting I sold to Kimmo (remember?) I need a pic of that painting to put here too.. How long do I need to keep this painting up, my arms hurt?
