Description FULL VIEW!!!! (Download for full size)

My new horse fursona Cygnet. Based on the markings of a Swan. These aren't her full colours, I messed around with the lighting, I wanted her in a desert on a windy day (hence the sand blowing around her.) Critque welcome, I'm still learning.

EDIT: needs work, not happy with the eye and there are a few mistakes here and there.

Drawing stick figures is more my "style". But as for the eye problems...

I would think that the scene's light intensity and low contrast would cause the pupal to be a bit more contracted and produce a smaller upper high light.

yeah it is bright there, interesting thought, never thought about that really, failing that i could give her some shades.

what i do is map out the shapes on my own horse photos (so i get the head the right length and the neck at the right angle etc) then i remove the photo, and draw from it (quite zoomed in) as a reference, sometimes i used 3 or 4 photos for reference (one for the ears, one for the neck, etc) when you are zoomed in a lot it's easier to draw the final outline, i use a soft brush, size 2 with a tablet. I love the drawing/scanner outlines too, i tend not to do them anymore because my scanner is really old and not as good as it used to be.

Very lovely, I really love her markings, the head being a different color from her body is so unique!

Thank you I found this image of a Sawn with a golden/amber head rather than the normal white head and that's where I got the idea.
